本コンテストは、2022年9月よりデジタルハリウッドSTUDIOにて開講した、駆け出しクリエイターのためのメタバース講座Presented byThe
Sandboxの1期生130名を対象に開催しました。
経験豊富なThe
Sandboxクリエイターからメタバースの世界に命を吹き込むコツを教わった受講生が個性豊かなボクセルアートを作り上げました。
90作品がエントリーし、その中からSHIBUYA109賞、The Sandbox賞、デジタルハリウッド賞に3作品が入賞しました。
Theme: Create Fashion in the Metaverse Space "SHIBUYA109 LAND"
This contest was held for the 130-student first cohort in Digital Hollywood Studio’s "Metaverse
Course for Budding Creators: Presented by The Sandbox" (established September 2022). Students
created voxel artworks of high originality, having learned how to bring the world of the Metaverse
to life from the experienced creators of The Sandbox. From 90 entries, three achieved accolades with
the SHIBUYA109 Award, The Sandbox Award, and the Digital Hollywood Award.

Congratulations on winning the SHIBUYA109 Award! Expression through voxel fashion comes with its restrictions, and great difficulty in expressing individuality. Despite this there was incredible attention to detail in the flared sleeves of the top and the mini skirt, the use of color, and even the accessories such as the bag and accessories. This is a voxel fashion that is perfect for the "SHIBUYA109 Award," skillfully expressing Japanese "kawaii" (cute)!

平成レトロと近未来感を融合させたアバターです。In addition to the theme of "fashion," the avatar is inspired by "digital x 90s". The avatar is a fusion of Heisei retro and futuristic styles.

First of all, congratulations on your award! This was a wonderful design, unique to the Metaverse. The use of colors, 2D texturing and the intricacy of even the accessories, bring this to a level of perfection as voxel art that is undisputedly world-class. The animation of the adorable facial expressions is also a high point of praise. We look forward to more great work at TheSandbox in the future!

15秒という短いアニメーションの中にも「走る」「撮る」という二つの動きを紡ぐことでストーリーが成立し、結果としてキャラクターの鉄道愛がビシビシと伝わりました。今後も命が吹き込まれたようなボクセルアートでユーザーを魅了することを期待します。受賞おめでとうございました!
In just a 15 second animation, a story was created through combining the two movements of "running" and "taking photographs". This resulted in a vivid portrayal of the character's love of trains. We look forward to seeing more real-to-life and user-captivating voxel art in the future. Congratulations on your award!

普段しないファッション、コロナでよりしなくなったファッションにしました。メタバースの中でパーティや新年のお祝いに提案したいファッションです。
I made a fashion statement that I don't usually make, and haven't been able to in Covid times. This is the fashion I want to propose for parties and New Year's celebrations in the Metaverse.
